Official course is still under development as township road condition and construction reports are still trickling in.

This is not a race.

This is not a fund-raiser.

This is not for profit.

This is just a bunch of people out for a challenging bike ride in a very scenic part of southwest Wisconsin. To make it easy, there's food and drink along the way. And a hearty dose of decent food at the end. And some ride support like tools, first aid kits, supplies, sag service, etc.

And in this ever-changing world in which we live in,
the ride is evolving a bit every year. There will likely
be a significant step between 2011 and 2012.

Pavement-approved Route #13. July 16 2011

The 13th Ride.
This is still fun.

#3 Picnic shelter at Seneca high school ball field, mile 61

Logistics

Who?
A healthy group of cycling enthusiasts...

What?
ready to take on a leisurely 112-ish mile ride through a very scenic (hilly) tour through southwest Wisconsin.

When?
July 16th, 2011 starting promptly at 7:30 am. Late comers risk baking in the heat of the day.

Where?
Prairie du Chien, WI. Start and Finish at Lawler Park, on the Mississippi riverfront on St Feriole Island.

Why?
Why not?

How?
There are 5 rest stops, roughly every 22 miles.

How much?
In following some of the successes of 2010, in 2011 there wil be no registration fee. (There's still an official liability waiver.)
It's available here. Lana and I are happy to supply all the candy bars and other junk food to get you through the course,
and we'll pull some strings to have a local restaurant (Coaches) prepared to serve food to hungry
cyclists from 5:45 til late.
Pricing on the spaghetti dinner special not yet available.

And in an attempt to improve over last year, ordering t-shirts will be done by July 5...
Last year's failed attempt at day-of-ride shirt ordering, coupled with terrible management of the t-shirt fund (ponzi scheme) led
to a remarkably slow process of getting shirts to riders. (Still pending)
Still want a 2010 shirt? Let us know...
For 2011, interested parties should get me their order by July 5th, I'll get a quote on a price per shirt (its usually around $13)
and get 'em ordered so they're at the ride start.

Snazzy catchphrase here.
It's gonna be hilly.
There's gonna be nice weather.
Let's keep this thing rolling.

Happy cycling.
